CANDLES ARE MADE WITH COCONUT-SOY WAX!

Coconut wax is sustainable. Coconuts do not require pesticides or fertilizer to grow and are harvested by hand. Although coconuts could eventually be grown in an unsustainable manner, currently they are being grown very carefully by small independent farms in the Philippines and Indonesia. Not only does growing coconuts lift these farmers out of poverty, growing sustainably has given them access to better markets and more financial options.

Coconut wax has a stronger hot and cold scent throw. With the use of this wax, customers can immediately get a clear impression of the scent just by unscrewing the lid. Once heated up, we have discovered that compared to other waxes, including soy, it is superior!

Coconut wax burns even cleaner! Coconut wax really excels in this category, as they are non-toxic and burns very slow. Coconut wax has one of the longest burn times out there and will leave very minimal soot in your home.

Why we chose to switch from just 100% soy wax to coconut-soy wax blend? Well, our goal is to offer our customers high-quality candles and coconut wax offers some of the best quality burns out there after much testing. Although soy wax is a commonly used safe and natural alternative compared to paraffin wax, unfortunately it is not always farmed is a sustainable manner.

It also burns a lot faster and does not pack as much of a scent throw compared to coconut wax blend. However, soy wax is still one of the better options if you are seeking clean burning candles.

So we decided to use a blend of the two waxes. It is very common for coconut wax to be blended with other vegetable oils, such as soy, in order to get the best of both waxes. Our coconut-soy blended candle offers a higher melting point to insure the candle isn't ruined before it can be lit, while still offering all the benefits of its scent throwing and excellent burning properties.
